TTC Presents: The Valve Sound System

After sell-out events at Sheffield’s 1,600 capacity Octagon, The Tuesday Club’s Valve Sound System is set to be bigger, longer and stronger as it moves temporarily to O₂ Academy Sheffield for the next instalment.

The custom-built Valve Sound System is considered the best drum and bass sound system in the world. Over the last eight years, Sheffield clubbing pioneers The Tuesday Club has worked with the system’s creators, Lemon D and Dillinja to produce some of the biggest dance music events seen in the city.

The line-up is the biggest yet, with a veritable who’s who of bass music’s finest, including Mercury Music Prize winner Roni Size, Artwork (Magnetic Man) and Brazilian superstar, DJ Marky.

The Tuesday Club, in partnership with the Valve Sound System, has run 15 large scale Valve events at The Octagon for the last eight years with huge success. Due to extensive refurbishment work at the University of Sheffield’s Students’ Union, and the temporary relocation of the Student Union’s events programme, The Tuesday Club were presented with an opportunity to do something different.

Promoter Mike McQuillan says; “September’s Valve event at O₂ Academy Sheffield will see one of the biggest and most diverse line-up of artists ever to appear on Valve. We’re excited to be working with the O₂ Academy and ready to bring Sheffield clubbers one of the biggest dance music events in the city, running longer than ever before.”

PLEASE NOTE: COLLECTIONS FOR ON-LINE BOOKINGS CAN BE MADE FROM THE STUDENT UNION'S BOX OFFICE UNTIL SATURDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER AT 5PM. ANY OUTSTANDING COLLECTIONS AFTER THAT POINT MUST BE MADE FROM THE O2 ACADEMY FROM 9PM ON THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT.
