Winner of the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) Award during the 2016 Cannes Festival, Julia Ducournau's first film as a director will give you goosebumps. Justine, 16, is an animal-lover: she is a vegetarian and wants to become a vet. As she enters the vet school, she goes through initiation rituals such as eating raw meat. Although she then suffers from food poisoning, this experience has triggered an unexpected bloodthirst that will have horrific consequences. Ducournau dives into the twisted obsession of the teenage character to make the spectator shiver.
