Hatha is a very general term that can include any type of physical yoga, but has come to mean a slower-paced and more mindful way of practising. In this class we’ll do some flows where the breath is married with movement, followed by longer-held poses which allow the body to stretch and open up. Hatha yoga is a great gentle way to gain some of the physical benefits of yoga such as strength, flexibility and balance at the same time as calming the nervous system and inducing a deep state of relaxation.
