Director: John Hughes Cast: Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck Country: USA Language: English/German A classic comedy which embodies the puerile nature of teenage rebellion, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off follows our eponymous main character and his two companions as they journey around Chicago instead of going to school. Meanwhile, they are being pursued separately by the school’s principle Ed Rooney and Ferris’ sister Jeanie, who plan to destroy Ferris’ reputation by catching him red-handed. Featuring great performances from the likes of Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck, as well as jokes that survive the test of time, this film is a joyful and upbeat tale of misadventure and arguably one of the best comedy films of all time. Definitely give this one a watch if you haven’t before.
