Director: Sofia Coppola Cast: Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman Country: Multiple Language: Multiple Marie Antoinette is a historical drama - although it takes a large influence from romcoms and teenage flicks - which follows the eponymous Queen from her beginnings as an Austrian princess to her death during the French Revolution. This takes us to a variety of beautiful and elaborate courts and parties which lead it to win the Academy Award for Best Costume Design. Rather than simply labelling her as a villain, Sofia Coppola shows how, for much of her life, Marie was misunderstood, and that she was simply a product of her surroundings.
