Pop Tarts - Xmas Advert Hits - SOLD OUT

Saturday 30 November 2019
11:30pm - 3:30am
Foundry, Sheffield Students' Union

It’s that time of year again- you’ve surely all paid your TV licenses and in reward you’re subject to the seasonal artistry of the TV Christmas adverts.
There’s the big players like John Lewis, who’ve been playing at our heart strings for over 10 years- from Monty the Penguin to Excitable Edgar. Then there’s the dark horses, the game-changers- we’re talking Ikea bringing D Double E into the game and Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot.

And alongside these adverts come the sounds of the classics, both originals and covers: from ‘The Power of Love’ to ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ and from Oasis to Elton. At midnight this Pop Tarts we’ll be rolling into December with these classics. It really tis the season for Non-Stop-Retro-Pop.

In Room 1 expect DJ Dave Hunter to spin all the nostalgic tunes from your childhood and beyond, spanning from the 90s, 00s & 10s. With the likes of the Spice Girls, Britney, Kanye, Taylor Swift, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and so much more blasting through the Foundry speakers, you'll never want to leave the dance floor! Also listen out for the 'Back To The Future' feature - the future sounds of Pop Tarts played now!

In Room 2, the legendary Leo Burrell continues smashing all the golden hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s. Expect to hear all the hits from ABBA, Queen, The Beatles, Journey, Bobby Darin, Diana Ross and more as we sing & dance our way through the decades!

If you miss out on tickets don't forget: Bar One have a limited supply each week, available from 10pm with every purchase at the bar!
