Beau Travail is the story of a group of soldiers from the French Foreign Legion in Djibouti. All these young, strong and muscular men live together, train hard and party hard. Their group has reached a balance and a good level of comradery. Galoup, however, is the Commanding Officer's favourite. Due to that special position, he feels particularly threatened when new recruit Sentain shows up with his likeable personality, handsome face and great humour. This 2000 French film explores the tensions, sometimes sexual, that can rise amongst soldiers, and capture the desire to be loved.
