You might know some of Yorgos Lanthimos' recent English-language films such as The Lobster or The Favourite, and if you do, you might be intrigued by his equally good films in Greek. Dogtooth is the story of a family with three children, who live secluded from the world in a house surrounded by high walls. The only outsider trusted to enter this bubble is Christina. But one day, she makes a deal with the eldest sister daughter. Lanthimos' dark sense of humour and surprising look on life is ever-present in his filmography, and Dogtooth is no exception. It is a great film to discover the Greek phase of this quirky director!
