He was imprisoned for 15 years. He doesn’t know why. Now, after being mysteriously released, he has 5 days to find answers and seek revenge on his captors. Dae-su was a drunken, unreliable father and husband. After missing his daughter’s fourth birthday he’s abducted and awakes in a sealed room. With only a TV offering a glimpse into the outside world and measly food rations sent through a trapdoor once a day, Dae-su spends a miserable 15 years trying to hold his mind and body together and planning his escape. But now he is out and is desperate to track down his daughter and solve the mystery of his incarceration. Park Chan-wook’s neo-noir action thriller is violent and chillingly offbeat.
