Unleash your adventurous side…

Join us for an evening of film and talks celebrating adventure from some of the most spectacular places on earth, brought to you by the team behind Kendal Mountain Festival.

You’ll be guided through a curation of stories from across the globe, told by a unique collection of travellers, athletes, activists and creatives. Through culturally rich, cinematically beautiful and thought provoking films we’ll ask; what is possible in a changing world, what is beautiful, what is wild and what defines adventure?

The evening will be hosted by the Kendal Mountain Presenting Team and will welcome Dave Cornthwaite to the stage; an adventurer, author and community leader with a habit of doing things differently. Since quitting a job as a really bad graphic designer in 2005 Dave has embarked on a unique career; covering over 24,000 miles under his own steam, writing three books, delivering over 1000 lectures on six continents and creating SayYesMore, a social enterprise geared towards positive change. On 1st January 2020 Dave was given the first Point of Light award of the decade by the Prime Minister, honouring his unique message of positivity. If his enthusiasm for simple living, the power of adventure for good and the glorious pursuit of enjoying Mondays isn't enough to get you ready for a new challenge, nothing will.

Kendal Mountain Festival is the ultimate social gathering for outdoor enthusiasts – with a world-class programme of films and talks from international adventurers taking place on the edge of the Lake District each year.

'Awesome Saturday night out @kendalmountainfestival. Watched the most awe-inspiring, jaw-droppingly beautiful line up of short films and listened to the legend @annamcnuff talk about her South American travel tales. Always honest, inspiring, crazy and funny. '
