Chris Morris Double Bill: Four Lions (15) - matinee

Sunday 24 May 2020
3:30pm - 5pm
Nelson Mandela Auditorium, Sheffield SU

A hilarious satire of Islamic terrorism set in Sheffield, Four Lions follows a group of radical Muslims as they hatch several schemes to bring down ‘sinful’ western culture. These include strapping bombs to crows, joining a terrorist cell in Pakistan, and attempting a terror attack on the London marathon. Directed and co-written by comedian Chris Morris, the film offers a perspective on terrorism from the point of view of the Jihadis themselves, if they were incompetent morons with no real motivation for their actions. The darkest of comedies, this film is a must-see for fans of other satirical films such as The Death of Stalin and In The Loop.
