Sam and Suzy live on opposite sides of an Island off the coast of New England. They fall in love through the letters they send each other and after a year, decide to run away and finally be free together. The problem is, Sam and Suzy are 12. Suzy's parents, Sam's scout master and the police organise a search to find the two missing kids before a storm hits the island. While the two lovers discover independence and freedom together, the anxious, boring and serious adults of the island join forces to try and save them. The unique aesthetic and quirky, loveable characters, along with the amazing cast, make Moonrise Kingdom one of Wes Anderson's most iconic and enjoyable films.
