As the global population rises and the climate crisis escalates, the pressure to provide food to everyone on the planet increases. Some innovators are approaching through new methods of agriculture by harnessing the space available in urban areas. In this give it a go session, you will have the opportunity to design your own plant pot using Tinkercad, a simple, accessible and free computer aided design tool. At the end of the session, you will be able to get your plant pot 3D printed and delivered to your house. There will be a further prize for the most innovative pot - perhaps it could be stackable, allow for easy watering or cheaper manufacture. Don’t worry if you’ve never used CAD before or have no experience with farming. We’ll give a brief introduction to both and be on hand throughout the session to give guidance. We’ll also chat a bit about the wider aims of EWB Sheffield. In the meantime, read more about Tinkercad and create an account using your sheffield email address here: https://www.tinkercad.com
